West Coast Wind Quintet Takes the Stage at RB Library

Presented Free to the Public by the Friends of the Rancho Bernardo Library

The Friends of the RB Library classical music series features the West Coast Wind Quintet at 6:15 pm Wednesday, May 23, in the library's 2nd floor Community Room.

Wind quintets bring a very different sound to the stage than string ensembles, with a variety of tone color that can mesmerize an audience. Members of this quintet are among Southern California’s most active and exciting young musicians. They have performed with some of the leading area orchestras, including the San Diego Symphony, LA Philharmonic and LA Opera. The musicians are Kate Prestia-Schaub, flute and piccolo, Christine Massey, oboe and English horn, Margaret Worsley, clarinets, Elizabeth Low Atwater, bassoon and Chris Wilson, horn.

This concert is part of a series of classical music presentations by the RB Library Friends, for the cultural and musical benefit of the public. There is no charge for this concert; free-will donations for musicians are encouraged. For more information on their concerts and mission to support this local library, please visit their website at friendsoftheranchobernardolibrary.org.
