What to Do in an Active Shooter Situation

Rancho Bernardo Community Council hosts Active Shooter Presentation, Free & Open to the Public. Wednesday, June 12, 6:30 pm, RB Library

The Rancho Bernardo Community Council will be hosting a free, public Active Shooter Presentation on Wednesday, June 12, 6:30 pm at the Rancho Bernardo library's large meeting room, 17110 Bernardo Center Drive. We encourage adults and children middle school age and above to attend.

There will be a powerpoint presentation, hand outs, along with a question and answer period. Eric Kant, crime Prevention Specialist with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department will be giving the presentation. Eric has been with the Sheriff's Department for 8 years, being in his current position since June 2017. His role as a Crime Prevention Specialist takes him all over the County spreading the message on crime prevention, and what everyone can do to keep themselves, and their families, safe.

Crime Prevention is everyone's responsibility, and with more people being informed of what to do in the event they run into a potential crime, the better they can serve their neighbors and community. His ultimate goal is to have individuals informed about their vulnerabilities in being a potential victim of crime and to overcome it.
