Burning Love: He Was Clothes-Minded After Marital Spat
A Rancho Santa Margarita man has a unique way of making his point.

By Martin Henderson
People sometimes have a strange way of showing how much they care. And how much they don't.
According to the blotter of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, a couple in Rancho Santa Margarita were having their problems over the weekend. The woman called late in the evening to report she and her husband were in an argument. That probably would have been OK if it had stopped there.

But the male half of the relationship clearly went overboard. The woman reported her husband decided to purge her wardrobe.
He began burning her clothes.
Yes, they had been drinking, she admitted. And, she said, her husband had been smoking marijuana before he decided to make room in the closet.
The call was made Saturday, 11:45 p.m., from Islay.
This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report and its actual facts may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
