ORANGE COUNTY, CA — Restaurant chain Farmer Boys has two charity initiatives underway — a burger-for-burger-matching effort and a T-shirt fundraiser — to support local hospital workers and the Feeding America organization.
Through Sunday, May 17, for every "Big Cheese" burger purchased at participating locales — including in Orange County — one will be donated to area healthcare staff working the frontlines of the COVID-19 battle.
And available for a limited time, Farmer Boys is selling a T-shirt, with the slogan “Do Good. Be Well. Be a Farmer,” with all proceeds going to Feeding America, a nationwide nonprofit that supports food banks and those facing hunger and food insecurity during these uncertain times. “This pandemic has impacted everyone in many different ways, so we wanted to do our part to show our support for the hardworking health heroes in our communities, as well as helping those facing food insecurity during this time in partnership with Feeding America,” said Larry Rusinko, Farmer Boys vice president and chief marketing officer.
“Our guests have generously supported our in-store fundraisers year after year, so we wanted to provide unique ways for guests to help support the heroes on the frontlines and those in need during this uncertain time," he said.
