Capistrano School Calendar 2019-20: 1st Day Of School & More
When's the first day of school in Rancho Santa Margarita? Plus, other must-know dates for students, parents, and teachers.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The Capistrano Unified School District will welcome students back to school on Aug. 20 in either a date to dread or one to look forward to.
Either way, it's a traditional date that's instrumental in a child's development. Teachers will report in three days prior.
Back to school nights will take place for Middle School Students from Aug. 27-29. High School back to school nights will take place Sept. 3-5, and Elementary School back to school nights will take place from Sept. 10-12.

There is no school for students on Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday. Other significant dates include:
- Staff learning days on Nov. 1
- Veterans Day on Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving Break on Nov. 25-29
- Holiday break from Dec. 23-Jan. 3 with school resuming Jan. 6.
