Last month, the City of Rancho Santa Margarita initiated a public outreach campaign to obtain input regarding how the community would prefer to plan for housing in the future. The first step in the Housing Element Update process included a month-long initial survey regarding existing housing conditions and fair housing issues; we appreciate everyone who took the time to respond.

Our second survey asks residents and interested parties for input regarding the types of development which should be further explored as the City plans to meet the State-mandated Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) of 680 units.
