Community Corner
Final Free Concert, Crazy Kids' Classes, Summer Fishing
The following are five interesting things to do or know in and around Rancho Santa Margarita Wednesday

1. Wednesday is hump day and time to start planning your weekend. Don't miss Stone Soul, a Motown-style group playing 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Rancho's Central Park, 30842 La Miranda. It's the last free concert of the summer hosted by the city. For more info, call Community Services at 949-216-9700.
2. Looking for somewhere to take the kids while they're still out of school? Rancho Santa Margarita offers all kinds of youth classes. Sign your children up this week for tumbling, robotics, animation, cooking or art lessons starting Monday.
3. It's still not too late in the season to pull some fish out of Rancho Santa Margarita Lake. Check out the monster the kid in the embedded video pulled out of the water in October.
4. Help out an Orange County Sheriff's Deputy who fell on some hard times. There's a shooting match coming up to help out Rancho Santa Margarita Reserve Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Kudla after he sustained serious injuries in an assault.
5. The Rancho Santa Margarita Planning Commission meets Wednesday to consider whether to allow McDonalds on Santa Margarita Parkway to do renovations, and whether to allow a property owner in town to split up his property into condos. See the agenda here -- the commission meets at city hall at 6:30 p.m.
