ANAHEIM, CA — Date night at Disney California Adventure? We thought it was a fine idea. While the kids went and enjoyed rides across the park, we ventured to over a dozen Festival Marketplaces--food stands--serving up a cornucopia of flavors from across California. The Food and Wine Festival, going on until mid-April 2018 is the perfect spot to enjoy a bit of grownup fun at the Disneyland Resort.

Though billed as fun for the whole family, adults can stroll the various marketplace "food trucks" to sample the delights that the Disney chefs have put together for you. From plates with fresh grown avocados and asparagus, to focus on nuts and cheeses, strawberries or the delightful citrus, make your decision to dine outside under the lights and surrounded by the music of California Adventure.

Of course, start with the wine. Don't forget to pick up your sampling of some of the best vintages in California. The fruit-flavored mimosas are also a treat. Find them at the Nuts About Cheese marketplace.

Annual Passholders get a special treat at the Food and Wine Festival, with a dining card available for purchase. Each food marketplace has that "farmer's market" look and feel, complete with awning, greenery, and an easy, out of the way line-up for ordering.

Try tidbits or delight in the vegetarian meatball sandwich at the Paradise Garden Grill in Paradise Park. If Poke is your thing, the Verlasso sustainable Salmon Peruvian Poke with a cucumber-lime salad and aju verde salsa is not to be missed. Find this one at the Peppers Cali-Ente Marketplace.

Finish your festival with something sweet. Be sure to save room and try the sweet and savory impeccably balanced caramel popcorn crispy treat, or the slightly more than a mouthful bourbon chocolate whoopie pie. You can thank us later.

You’ll find the Festival Marketplace kiosks between Hollywood Land and the Golden Zephyr.
