Halloween House Collects Food For Homeless

Local resident uses the holiday to help the homeless

For over a decade now, local resident James Gabbriellini is turning his home into an amazing presentation to delight the neighborhood and to collect goods for the homeless. This year Gabbriellini has constructed an entirely new theme for the holiday that you need to see for yourself, no spoilers in this article.

Gabbriellini said the desired items are non-perishable food with preferences being, beans, pasta, rice, instant heat and eat can goods, but will take anything you have in your cabinet. Cash donations are also accepted and will be used for shampoo, toothbrushes/paste, deodorant, razors and other toiletries including disinfectant, bandages, hair brushes etc. All Halloween visitors will be rewarded with extra treats if they drop off canned food and other items in front of his home.

The fun begins at 7pm on Halloween at 50 San Sebastian in Rancho Santa Margarita near the Alicia Blvd. and Santa Margarita Blvd. intersections. For a taste of what Gabbriellini does and his background you can read this coverage from 2012 in the OC Register.
