Oakley Celebrates 20th Anniversary At Irvine Spectrum

The leading performance brand looks back to its first retail store opening in Irvine.

IRVINE, CA — Oakley is an iconic brand in Orange County. On Saturday, July 27, gather at the Irvine Spectrum to to see a collection of iconic eyewear designs, as well as a BMX show and prizes.

Mike "Hucker" Clark will "kick things up a notch" in the courtyard, they said.

As one of the leading product design and sport performance brands in the world, Oakley opened the first-ever O Store in the Irvine Spectrum in July of 1999.

"On the night of the grand opening, a black cloth dropped, and in typical Oakley fashion, the company’s founder greeted each guest in a military gas mask," a spokesperson said. "As loud music blared and videos played throughout the store, athletes, fans and media filled the 1,800 square-foot space, causing quite a scene that left the surrounding crowd intrigued and curious."

The birthday bash will be no exception to that high bar, Patch was told.
