Playstation 4: A 21-Hour Wait in RSM [Video]
The new Playstation brings out some hardy souls to Rancho Santa Margarita for a long wait to ensure they get their new gaming system.

By Martin Henderson
Josh Shamassian arrived at the GameStop in Rancho Santa Margarita at 3 a.m., ready to dig in for the wait to be the first person in town to emerge with a Playstation 4.Â
At midnight Friday, Sony releases its next generation game console, and those willing to challenge the dark hours—people such as Batman, Spiderman, Josh—will walk away with the prized booty.Â
Although employees at GameStop couldn't say how many consoles were on the premises, the dozen or so patrons parked in lawn chairs on the sidewalk were likely to get their Playstation 4s in-hand.Â
The store was handed out receipts before closing about 9 a.m., then was turning over the Playstations after re-opening at midnight.
Josh, 15, a sophomore at Saddleback Valley Christian, was ditching school to ensure he got his console, but he emphatically maintained he had the OK from his parents.Â
One parent was on the site waiting on behalf of her kids. Christy Foster arrived at 6 a.m. while her two sons headed off to school. She said the group that followed had become family, at least for the day.Â
