Police, Fire Service Activity Near Laguna Hills Mall This Week

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Do you see Orange County Sheriff's deputies in and around Laguna Hills? there's a reason for that.

On Wednesday and Thursday, law enforcement and fire agencies from across Orange County will hold their regional training exercises, a spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

The activity was expected from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to officials.

Businesses and traffic will not be affected, they say.

Still, seeing a large number of sheriff's department vehicles, as well as Orange County Fire Authority trucks in one location can be worrisome to nearby South County residents in Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita and Aliso Viejo.

An alert went out to inform neighbors not to be concerned.
