Rancho Santa Margarita Splash Pad Construction Underway
The ground has been broken at the Rancho Santa Margarita Central Park Splash Pad!

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — On Monday, the city of Rancho Santa Margarita officials gathered at Central Park for the groundbreaking ceremony of the city's new splash pad.
A crowd gathered at 4:30 p.m. to watch the official ceremony—including city council members— who gave the soil a scoop, marking the "splashing debut" expected for summer.
"This very cool community amenity will make a splashing debut this summer, thanks to the RSM City Council and Micon Construction," a city spokesperson said.

"It is gated for safety reasons, but no card is required," Figueroa says.
There will be an occupancy limit, and monitoring details will be forthcoming, she wrote on Facebook.
The facility, located near the hockey rink, will be secured, gated, and have its own restrooms. The splash pad will include shade canopies to ensure visitors comfortably enjoy the park on even the hottest of summer days, they say.
Residents are looking forward to the opening of the splash pad—sometime later this summer—with much anticipation.
