RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Sitting Rancho Santa Margarita city councilmembers Tony Beall and Carol Gamble were poised to keep their seats after Tuesday's election. With polls closed in Rancho Santa Margarita, from City Hall to the White House, voters marked their ballots for their chosen leaders, on tax measures, and proposals that will shape California for generations to come.
Now that everyone's cast their votes, the question is: So who won? What passed or failed?

In Rancho Santa Margarita, two seats on the city council were up for vote. Incumbents Tony Beall and Carol Gamble were in the lead as of Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., with Beth Schwartz, Glenn Acosta, and John Christopoulos trailing, followed by Julia Bendis, Chris K. Mclaughlin, Wendy Braun and Andrea Machuca
