Senator Bates and Assemblyman Brough - We Need Your Help
A joint legislative audit committee needs to unleash the state auditor on the TCA

As we have seen in repeated articles from the Los Angeles times, the Transportation Corridor Agency (TCA) aka The Toll Roads, have done a very poor job managing their money. The recent expose in March 2019 by the Los Angeles Times really underscored the financial chicanery going on, I suggest you read these two articles here and here. Currently the TCA is performing their own audit, but what are the odds of them doing a really deep dive into their own finances? Probably not high. What we need is to have the state Joint Legislative Audit Committee (JLAC) meet and agree to an audit. This would trigger the State Auditors office, and they have very broad subpoena power, which would finally get to the bottom of it. The main issue right now is twofold, they don't meet next until February 2020, and also showing the importance of the audit. We can help with these issues by contacting the offices of Senator Pate Bates and Assemblyman Bill Brough to let them know you want this audit done, it will help build support. You can also contact them on Facebook at Pat Bates and Bill Brough. If we all work together, we can stop the TCA madness and keep them from turning carpool lanes into toll lanes, and get the toll roads to be free like they are supposed to be by now.
