They Can't Seem to Get Along as Ex-Spouses, Either

A couple communicate in a threatening manner, one verbal, the other non-verbal.

A divorced couple in Rancho Santa Margarita apparently can't see eye-to-eye on visiting privileges, and it created for a couple of calls to the Orange County Sheriff's Department earlier this week.

According to the blotter of the OCSD, the first call came from the ex-wife on Wednesday night, about 8 p.m., she was in front of her ex-husband's house on Via Encanto, and complained that her ex had told her that if she knocks on the door again seeking to see her child, he would shoot her. She said the husband did own guns.

The dispatcher informed the woman she should leave the front of the house, but the woman said she wasn't going to run from the problem and would wait outside.

The following day, Thursday, 7:36 p.m., the ex-husband called on police services to report the ex-wife was outside the residence but looking through the kitchen window staring at him. He told the dispatcher that he believed she owned a gun but didn't see it.

The same couple had similar incidents as well, most recently on June 13, with a disturbing the peace complaint that began with the woman knocking on the door.

Both calls originated from Via Encanto.

This report was culled from the Orange County Sheriff's website. Not all facts in each report are made public; the outcome of the report and its actual facts may differ from the original blotter item. There should be no assumption of guilt based on this limited information.
