Two Popular Eateries Close In September
Long time favorites in town close for different reasons.
Two long time popular restaurants in Rancho Santa Margarita are closing in September. The first was Canyon Grill, which is already closed. A big personal disappointment as they had my favorite Pastrami sandwich in town. The second is Neighborhood Grill, which in a Facebook post on September 12 announced that they would be closing after 16 years, but unlike many such closings, this was on their terms as the owner is retiring. Their last day will be September 29 with Italian restaurant Cibo Italiano opening in the same place in the near future. The Neighborhood Grill has been serving up some of the finest Greek and Mediterranean food in the area in my opinion, with my favorite Gyro in 20 years. Don't miss your chance to swing by there in the final days that are left.
