Wind Advisory In Rancho Santa Margarita: Gusts Up To 50 MPH
The National Weather Service alerted residents of a coming Santa Ana wind event in Orange County. Here is when the wind will start.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Batten down the hatches, Orange County. It's about to get windy again. A Santa Ana wind event is moving into the region overnight, and is expected to last until 3 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service reported.
Winds are expected in the Santa Ana Mountains and foothill areas of Orange County and Orange County's inland areas, officials reported.
The advisory is set to begin at midnight, Tuesday through Wednesday at noon.

"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects," they reported. "Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result."
Sustained winds from the east are expected to blow from 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, they said.
