Restaurant Fire Extinguished In Peninsula: Police

BELMONT, CA — A structure fire at a restaurant in Belmont that closed off several intersections and roads near the area of Hiller Street and Masonic Way has been extinguished, according to the Belmont Police Department.

Authorities had asked the public to avoid the area. The department tweeted out the incident at 10:19 a.m. Less than 20 minutes later, it announced the fire was extinguished and the streets were back open.

No other information was immediately made available.
