Got a spare blazer? The Redwood City Rotary Club will begin collecting clothing donations during the month of February for Career Closet http://www.careercloset.org/. They are specifically asking for women’s and men’s business clothes and warm coats to help economically disadvantaged people trying to enter the work force.
Attend a San Mateo County Board of Supervisors meeting at 9 a.m. at 400 County Center to see the presentation of the STARS awards to outstanding County programs or hear the County Manager’s analysis of the proposed state budget for fiscal year 2011-2012.
Attend an Architectural Review Meeting at 7 a.m. in the Council Chambers to learn about a storefront improvement program for Popik’s Building on 935 Main Street.

Appreciate art in a place you wouldn’t expect: the County’s Hall of Justice at 400 County Center in their Caldwell Memorial Arts Gallery. Tangerine Arts, a Bay Area women artists group, presents “Broad-Brush,” an exhibit of paintings, ceramics, and photography.
Stop by to listen to Bay area bassist Joey Fabian (Bartron Tyler Group, Alana Davis) and a stellar cast of musicians tackle a diverse set of music. The A.D.O. flows from instrumentals by The Meters, Wayne Shorter and Ernest Ranglin, Soul and R&B by Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder, and Rock from The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to Susan Tedeschi.
