El Camino Real Lanes To Close

As the Department of Transortation's (DOT) Smart Corridor project continues this week,  Caltrans will be installing new traffic management tools along Route 82 (El Camino Real). The project will require lane closures along El Camino Real, which started Monday morning, April 8.

Improvements include, a fiber optic communication system, interconnection of local and state traffic signals, trailblazer signs, message signs, vehicle detection systems and fixed cameras.

This system will run from Redwood City to San Bruno.

Note: These will be partial closures – one lane will be closed, and two lanes open on each of these construction zones.

Tuesday, April 9

8:01am to 2:30pm. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between 43rd Avenue & 27th Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between 27th Avenue & 31st Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between Oakgrove Avenue & Bellevue Avenue.

11:01pm to 6:01am. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between Ralston Avenue & 3rd Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, 3rd Avenue & Ralston Avenue.

Wednesday, April 10

9:01pm to 6:01am. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between Ralston Avenue & 3rd Avenue.

8:01am to 2:30pm. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between 43rd Avenue & 27th Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between 27th Avenue & 31st Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between Oakgrove Avenue & Bellevue Avenue.

11:01pm to 6:01am. - One lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between 3rd Avenue & Ralston Avenue.

Thursday, April 11

8:01am to 2:30pm. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between 43rd Avenue & 27th Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between 27th Avenue & 31st Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between Oak Grove Avenue & Bellevue Avenue

9:01pm to 6:01am. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between Ralston Avenue & 3rd Avenue.

11:01pm to 6:01am. - One lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between 3rd Avenue & Ralston Avenue.

Friday, April 12

8:01am to 2:30pm. - One lane closed, Northbound, El Camino Real, between 43rd Avenue & 27th Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real, between, 27th Avenue, & 31st Avenue; one lane closed, Southbound, El Camino Real between Oakgrove Avenue & Bellevue Avenue.

11:01pm to 8:01am. One lane closed Northbound, El Camino Real between Ralston Avenue & 3rd Avenue; one lane closed Southbound, El Camino Real between 3rd Avenue & Ralston Avenue.
 

Signs will help guide motorist through construction zones. Motorists should allow for extra travel time and expect delays.
