Free Admission To San Mateo Co. History Museum To Begin Next Week

The history museum in Redwood City on Broadway provides a free pass on every first Friday.

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- Admission is free each first Friday at the San Mateo County History Museum in Redwood City starting next week, museum officials said.

In addition to the free admission, two free public programs are planned on the same day. Next Friday at 11 a.m., preschool children can learn about cars and how to make toy cars out of clothespins to take home.

Museum staff members will also put on a program in the Journey to Work Gallery, where youth will hear the story, My Car. Programs vary each month.

Adult tours of the museum begin at 2 p.m.

The museum is located at 2200 Broadway in the Old Courthouse building and is open each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. except Mondays.
