How Long Will This Rain Last?

As a storm approaches the Bay Area this morning, wind advisories are in effect for two area bridges, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Just after midnight the CHP issued wind advisories for the San Mateo and Bay bridges.

CHP officials also reported rainy conditions on Contra Costa County roads.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to arrive throughout the Bay Area and Monterey Bay today, with scattered showers possible on Thursday.

Weather officials said a cold front is forecast to bring up to an inch of rain in the North Bay today and Thursday and dampen other Bay Area regions to a lesser extent.
