Missing Man Possibly Drowned At San Mateo County Beach: Sheriff
Friends said the man wandered off while they were on the beach at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday and went into the water.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A 36-year-old missing man is believed to have possibly drowned at Tunitas Creek Beach near Half Moon Bay in unincorporated San Mateo County on Thursday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a news release, the sheriff’s office, U.S. Coast Guard and San Mateo County Harbor Patrol attempted unsuccessfully to locate 36-year-old Florentino Suan Pasco Jr., who friends said wandered off while they were on the beach at approximately 4 a.m. Thursday and went into the water.
The agencies used several resources including a coast guard helicopter, rescue vessel and drone from the sheriff’s office but Pasco, identified as a transient from Stockton, was not located.
