Motorcyclist Killed in San Mateo Identified as Belmont Resident
45-year-old John Stark lost control while riding on Sunday. CHP is asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.

A motorcyclist killed in a crash in San Mateo on Sunday has been identified as 45-year-old Belmont resident John Stark, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office.
The collision occurred around 4:10 p.m. Sunday on northbound U.S. Highway 101 just south of East Hillsdale Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist was traveling north on a 2004 Suzuki he was struck by a northbound 2006 Honda, CHP officials said.
The motorcyclist lost control and was ejected onto the East Hillsdale Boulevard off-ramp. He was taken to Stanford Hospital with major injuries, where he was pronounced dead.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the collision, according to the CHP.
CHP officials are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call Officer Adam Petty at (650) 369-6261.
