Mountain Mike's Opens in Redwood City

REDWOOD CITY, CA — A California-based, family-style pizza chain has opened a location in Redwood City located in the Jefferson Plaza shopping center.

Mountain Mike's, which is situated on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas, is better known for its mantra — “Pizza the Way it Oughta Be."

Mountain Mike's LLC aimed to make its unique pizza accessible to pie enthusiasts on the San Francisco Peninsula. Other locations on the Peninsula include one in Belmont, San Carlos and Palo Alto, among a dozen in the South Bay.

This new 2,000-square-foot Redwood City eatery serves Mountain Mike's menu of pizzas served on dough that’s prepared in-house daily, new bone-in wings available in four flavors, garlic sticks, a robust all-you-can-eat salad bar and a selection of both wine and beer.

“Mountain Mike’s has maintained a reputation for serving some of the best pizza in the bay for more than 40 years, and we’re excited to make our legendary crispy, curly pepperoni pizza even more accessible for our San Francisco Peninsula-area fans,” said Brian Moscini, franchisee of the Redwood City Mountain Mike's.

The new place brings on the brand’s most updated restaurant design and a children’s activity room with arcade games, a seated bar counter and big screen televisions throughout the dining room.

There’s pizza for everyone’s tastebuds, including fan-favorite signature combinations, like "The McKinley" and "Pike’s Peak" and Mountain Mike’s signature Pepperoni Pizza, as well as the “create your own” pizzas.

The new Mountain Mike’s restaurant is located at 3121 Jefferson Ave. at Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pulgas in Redwood City. The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday stays open until 10 p.m.
