New Circus Arts Series at the Dragon Theatre in Downtown RWC
Dragon Productions Theatre Company will partner with Sleep Forever Please Productions and for a new Circus Arts Series.

From Dragon Productions Theatre Company: Dragon Productions Theatre Company is proud to partner with Sleep Forever Please Productions and pleased to present a new Circus Arts Series. Sleep Forever Please Productions is a collective of circus artists and dancers who create beautiful and macabre productions and Dragon Productions is thrilled to provide them a venue to show off their extraordinary aerial and movement pieces.
Managing Director Kimberly Wadycki says that “we met Anna Yanushkevich last year though our world premiere production of Cirque Exotique du Monde. Anna and one of her students performed the aerial scenes in the play and we were all mesmerized by their work. We invited them to perform at our New Year’s Eve party and in one of our Late Night shows and they’ve been packing the houses every time. Part of Dragon’s mission is to provide opportunities to local artists and help them find an audience, so we’re thrilled to partner with this lovely group of people to make downtown Redwood City the premiere destination to experience artists of many disciplines in the Bay Area.”
The acts are created by Anna and other instructors at Inspiration Studios in Redwood City. When asked how each piece is created, Ms. Yanushkevich replied that “my goal every time I put together a show is to get the audience to think about something in a different way, start a conversation, get them out of their normal everyday experience and see through someone else's eyes for an hour. All of the segments in the shows are meant to be smaller pieces of a big picture. Instead of a variety type show, I want to try to show the audience my vision from a number of angles, and in many different ways. While I don’t choreograph every single number, I am heavily involved in the overall production and development of every piece so that it fits the bigger picture. I am very lucky to have a team of talented individuals who also share a similar vision and want to create art as much as I do.”
