One Person Shot In Redwood City At Encampment: Police
The victim, who suffered a non-life threatening injury, was a male at the encampment on Shasta Street underneath Woodside Road.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — One person was injured in a shooting at a transient encampment in Redwood City on Monday night, according to police.
The victim, who suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm, was a male at the encampment on Shasta Street underneath Woodside Road, police said. Officers located fourteen 9mm casings at the scene.
According to a news release, officers were originally dispatched to the 300 block of Buckeye Street on reports of gunshots. They didn’t find any evidence, but then heard reports of a victim near the Target on El Camino Real.

The suspect is unknown at this time and the victim was not named by the Redwood City Police Department.
