The shops will close their doors within the next week.

PENINSULA, CA — Peet's Coffee is closing three shops in Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Los Altos, the Mercury News reported.
All three shops will be closing their doors on Sunday, Nov. 24. The locations set to close are at 436 University Ave. in Palo Alto, 4598 El Camino Real in Los Altos and 515 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.
“We open and close coffeebars each year for a variety of reasons,” a Peet’s spokeswoman told the Mercury News. “As with any retail business, Peet’s Coffee must keep pace with changing markets to enable healthy growth. While not easy decisions, regional adjustments to our coffeebar presence is important for effectively managing our resources and for accelerating our business.”
