Photos: Arya Restaurant Opens with Toasts, a Buffet and Bellydancing
The restaurant was packed with music, good food and laughter at the grand opening.
Though a few weeks ago, owners Mike and Fera Hashemi wanted to throw an appropriate grand opening ceremony to welcome Redwood City residents through its doors.
"It's amazing," said co-owner Fera Hashemi of being in Redwood City. "I love this city."
The restaurant was lined with food, from traditional dishes like hummus and Persian rice to delectable desserts like a three chocolate cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries.

The restaurant featured Italian opera singer, Pasquale Esposito and belly dancer, Maria for some festive entertainment.
