Rain, Winds, Cold Expected As 2 Storms Head Toward Peninsula
Two storms are expected to hit the Bay Area region, bringing cooler temperatures, rain and wind, officials forecast.
BAY AREA, CA — Peninsula residents can expect gusty winds, rain and cooler temperatures this work week as two storms head toward the region.
The National Weather Service forecast that light rain may continue into Tuesday morning as a minor storm passes, but a stronger storm was expected to bring heavier rain late Wednesday to Thursday. Thunderstorms could be possible Thursday night, but weather officials had yet to add it to the forecast as of Monday.
Tuesday night would see the coldest temperatures of the week, with most of the region seeing temperatures in the 30s and low 40s. Weather is expected to warm up this weekend, but rain is possible, too.
