Redwood City Affordable Housing Apartments Accepting Applications
The Hallmark House Apartments, offering 72 one-bedroom apartments reserved for low-income residents, is set to open this year.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — An affordable housing development in Redwood City nearing completion this summer is accepting applications from low-income residents.
In an email newsletter last week, the city announced that it was taking applications for the new Hallmark House Apartments on Woodside Road. The development offers 72 one-bedroom apartments set aside for low-income residents, providing what the city called "much-needed affordable housing."
Applicants' household limits must be less than 60 percent of San Mateo County's median family income, according to the application page. For a three-person household, the maximum income to be eligible would be $93,960 per year. The units would cost upwards of $1,900 a month.

This is a new development, replacing an old property that had burned in a 2013 fire that displaced residents.
