Redwood City tied its record low temperature of 35 degrees on Tuesday. It hasn't been that cold since 1950, according to NWS.

Yup. That's about 71 years ago.

Redwood City wasn't the only place in the Bay Area that saw record lows.

Livermore tied its previous record of 30 degrees in 1911. Oakland set a new record at 40 degrees — one degree cooler than its previous record set just last year.

While temperatures were a tad bit warmer Wednesday, Bay Area residents probably shouldn't expect to find any reprieve from the cold in warm, sunny days this week.

A rainstorm is likely to spread across the region, beginning in the North Bay, Thursday morning, according to NWS. Showers are forecast to continue into Friday.
