Saltworks Letters Flood Media Publications

Since the initial application by then developer DMB Associates, and now DMB Pacific Ventures, in 2006, the proposed 12,000 home development on the private Cargill Saltworks land has sparked intense debate. Both sides have invested much effort into either or to the development.

Opposition groups like and specifically to oppose this one project while many groups have spoken in favor of the development.

When Councilmember Rosanne Foust proposed an advisory vote on the project at the April 9 council meeting, both sides erupted in new discussion, even challenging the to do so.
