The people, who were three young men between the ages of 18 and 20, had ventured about 200 yards offshore and were clinging onto a rock, trapped by the tide on Saturday.
Crews from across San Mateo County assisted in the rescue, which culminated in two of them being rescued via ship and the other airlifted to safety by the Coast Guard. They were treated for hypothermia symptoms, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
