Special Movie Night - "The Bail Trap: American Ransom"
Are you aware that Black people, Latinos, and Native Americans are twice as likely to be stuck in jail because they can't afford bail?

Come and find out what is happening here in California to fix the broken money bail system.
When people are unable to make bail, their incarceration can last weeks or even months so that
they lose jobs, housing and family. Raising money for bail puts them at the
mercy of unscrupulous private bail bondsmen. Innocent people often give in to
pressures to plead guilty in order to be released on bail.
This film and the Q and A following will inform and shine a brighter light on this very important
topic.
