UPDATED: Missing Woman Found Safe

San Mateo County Sheriff Det. Rebecca Rosenblatt reported Friday morning that Margaret Woodman, 67, who went missing from her home on Idlewild Avenue in unincorporated Redwood City Thursday afternoon, is home safe.

"Deputies went to her family's home for a follow-up this morning at approximately 8:20 a.m. when they learned from her family she had been found in the Stanford area during the night," Rosenblatt said.

Rosenblatt said she appears to be in "OK condition" and has been removed from the Missing Persons system.

UPDATE, 8:08 P.M.: The Sheriff's Office said the missing woman, Margaret Woodman, was last seen by her husband around 11:30 a.m. when she left their residence in the 1800 block of Idlewild Avenue in unincorporated Redwood City to go for a walk. Her husband indicates that she suffers from Alzheimer's.

Woodman had no money on her when she went missing, and does not drive, the Sheriff's Office reported.

It is possible Woodman may be in downtown Redwood City; she has been known to frequent Courthouse Square.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to watch out for a missing person.  

Margaret Woodman, 67 years old, was last seen in the 1800 block of Idlewild Avenue in Redwood City around noon on Thursday.

Woodman was last seen wearing a white leather jacket and black pants with flowers on them.  She is described as being 5'6" and around 110 pounds with brown eyes and brown Hair worn in a ponytail.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Margaret Woodman or may know where she is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
