YOUR HOUR COMMUTE HAS MET ITS MATCH

Innovative Hire10 Saves the Community in More Ways Than One

SAN MATEO, CA – Hire10.com is the first job site with a goal of bringing its community closer together. The idea is simple: find people jobs in ten miles and less of their homes. What could we do with that extra two hours we would no longer spend in the car? Or, for that matter, what would we do with the extra money no longer being spent on gas? We could even go completely green and bicycle to work, thus addressing the increasing traffic issues.

Hire10 was launched in July of 2013 with the aim of strengthening our communities, creating stability, and assisting the struggling economy. The idea was that job posts would only be $50 rather than over $100, which is what most job sites make businesses cough up, and applicants could work as close to home as possible. This way, even the smallest “ma and pop shop” can afford to efficiently post jobs on the internet while large corporations save hundreds of thousands on recruiting costs.

Now, barely a year later, this San Mateo-based website has already grown to have almost two hundred members and is placing people in jobs near them. So far, Hire10’s current reach is San Mateo County, but Hire10 Founder and President Gin Nikoloff plans to take over the Bay Area, county by county, to ensure everyone reaps the benefits of her well thought-out solution to today’s environmental and economic problems. “Working with Hire10’s model is so simple, and it is here to address many social and economic issues in our communities,” says Nikoloff.

Nikoloff is a member of the San Mateo and Belmont Chambers of Commerce and a board member of San Mateo County’s Workforce Investment Board to further bridge the gap between the people and their community. She started out in technical sales with Motorola and then LSI Logic with a B.S. in Business Management from USF. In 2009, when the economy crashed, Nikoloff ran for Belmont City Council to attempt the discovery of a solution for the damaged economy. While she did not receive a seat on the council, the experience gave her the bright idea of Hire10. With that, she was still able to follow her dream of helping her community in the most profound way.
