2 Oakland Men ID'd As Highway 24 Crash Victims

Altogether three men were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in Orinda on Saturday.

OAKLAND, CA —Two of the three men who were killed in a crash on westbound Highway 24 in Orinda early Saturday were Oakland residents. All three have been identified by the Contra Costa County Coroner's Office.

The men were 31-year-old Molomona Eteaki of Oakland, 22-year-old Mauni Puhulu of Oakland, and 21-year-old Sione Vaitafa of Hayward. No further information about their deaths was released.

The victims were in a 2009 Nissan Versa that was found in the bushes off the right side of the road near the Camino Pablo off ramp around 3:10 a.m. The coroner was called immediately by the CHP, before any paramedics arrived at the crash. All three men were pronounced dead at the scene.
