Ale and Amour at Trappist Provisions

A critic is distracted by goings-on at the usually genteel College Avenue spot.

"Trappist Provisions has gone WILD!" writes an East Bay Express tavern critic in an article published Wednesday.

Specifically — a man and woman, dressed in decidedly not-wild earth tones, distracted customers with an hour-long make-out session at the bar "with a vigor and a stamina I seriously haven't seen since freshman year of college," she writes with (we hope) mock horror.

Nonetheless, she says, she was able to enjoy her $8.50 Thornbridge Raven BIPA, one of nine specialty beers on tap at the Rockridge spot.
