Restaurant Watch: Box and Bells Opening on College Delayed
The new Rockridge restaurant from Commis owner-chef James Shyabout won't debut for at least two months.

Box and Bells, the new restaurant originally scheduled to open in January in the former Somerset restaurant space at 5912 College Ave., probably won't debut until June or early summer, owner James Shyabout told Diablo Magazine's "Weekly Dish" recently.
Shyabout also owns the celebrated Commis on Piedmont Avenue and Hawker Fare in Uptown.
Box and Bells will serve the sort of fare the staff at Commis makes for itself, according to an article earlier this year in the San Francisco Chronicle's Inside Scoop.
