Celebrate 40th Street Parklet on Saturday

Walk Oakland Bike Oakland and Manifesto Bicycles invite neighbors to join them Saturday, March, 23 for a celebration of the city's "parklets" — parking spaces and similar public ares turned into mini-parks.

Saturday's event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parklet in front of Manifesto, 421 - 40th St., Oakland (at Webster Street).

Food will be available from El TacoBike and Fist of Flour Pizza Co.

According to the City of Oakland, the parklet is jointly sponsored by Manifesto and its next-door neighbor, Subrosa Coffee.
