Child Porn Case: Oakland Man Sentenced To Prison

Some contained depictions of sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence, according to prosecutors.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — An Oakland man has been sentenced to 60 months in prison for receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography, United States Attorney David Anderson announced Thursday.

Nicholas Alan Hodges, 30, pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. Prosecutors said he knowingly received and distributed images and videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct through the Internet, and he used social media to engage in conversation with others about and send child pornography.

He admitted to possessing more than 600 videos and images of child pornography, some of which contained depictions of sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence, according to prosecutors.

In addition to his prison sentence, Hodges was sentenced to fives years of supervised release.
