City Pothole Blitz Starts Monday on Claremont
First up as the Public Works Agency's annual fix-it ritual begins this week: Claremont Avenue between Clifton and Hudson streets.

Oakland Public Works Agency crews are planning to fix more than 3,000 holes on the city's roads this year during their annual "pothole blitz" that kicks off Monday.
Each week, the efforts will relocate to another district in the city, starting on Claremont Avenue between Clifton and Hudson streets. The blitz will last until June 26.

The focus will be on schools, traffic corridors, hospitals, high-traffic pedestrian areas and problem streets, according to city officials.
Last year, 2,800 potholes were filled.

Oakland residents who have a specific pothole they want repaired or who have other infrastructure issues should call the Public Works Call Center Hot Line at (510) 615-5566.
