Claremont Middle School Holds Open House for Prospective Families on Saturday

Claremont Middle School, 5750 College Ave., will hold an open house for families interested in learning about the school on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will include an opportunity to meet current and prospective Claremont families, a Q&A panel with students, parents, teachers and administrators, and visits to sixth grade and elective classrooms to meet the teachers and hear about curriculum.

The school also has tours for prospective families scheduled for Nov. 9, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.

For Saturday's open house, meet at the school gymnasium in the northeast corner of the campus. All prospective students and their families are welcome to attend. Current Claremont families are welcome to bring their fourth and fifth graders to the event.

Parking will be available on the school yard; enter from Miles Avenue. 

School Tours

Tours on on Nov. 9, Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Enter through the front door (at the corner of College and Miles avenues) and look for signs to the library, where the tours will begin.

Tours will include an opportunity to meet school and parent leaders at Claremont and ask questions and a tour of the school, including visits to sixth grade and elective classrooms.

All parents and caregivers of prospective students are invited to attend and have the option of bringing their child, if desired. 

Prospective students can also "shadow" current students for part or all of a school day. To schedule a date, call the school office at (510) 879-2010.
