Coughs & Sniffles in Child Care: Free Workshop
If you care for children, be sure you know how to respond to common childhood illnesses. In this workshop we'll cover all you need to know.
Ready to learn about coughs, sniffles, and other common childhood illnesses? Then join us for this two-part training that's all about caring for children when they’re sick. We’ll cover the basics of childhood bugs and how to respond in a variety of situations.
You will learn how to:
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of common childhood illnesses and the best ways to treat them
- Prevent the spread of illness with safe, healthy practices
- Treat a fever
- Safely give medicine
- Comfort a child who feels sick
- Identify signs that an illness is getting worse
- Know when to call the parent or doctor
Whether you work in a child care program or are an in-home caregiver, you are invited to join us as we learn these skills through roleplaying and group activities. This is an important workshop for anyone who cares for children, so bring your questions and prepare to learn how to tackle any common illness!
