"Governments pass many laws intending to reduce crime – but have they?" asks Oakland City Councilmember and Safe Oakland Speaker Series sponsor Libby Schaaf. "Professor Donohue will present data on how policies affecting incarceration, gun control, the death penalty, and drug laws have or have not actually impacted crime rates and what this could mean for reducing crime in Oakland."
