Downtown BART Station Reopens After Shooting

Passengers at the 12th Street BART Station were evacuated after a fatal shooting nearby at 10:21 p.m. Tuesday.

BART police have reopened the 12th Street BART station following an investigation into a fatal shooting in downtown Oakland Tuesday night.

The shooting at 13th Street and Broadway was reported at 10:21 p.m., Oakland police said.

BART police said the 12th Street BART station was shut down at 10:27 p.m. to look for suspects following the shooting. Passengers at the 12th Street station at the time were evacuated, according to police.

The 12th Street BART station reopened at about 11:30 p.m.
