Family-Friendly Volunteer Work Day at Hardy Park Saturday
FROG is sponsoring the Earth Day activity. Kid-friendly jobs will be available.

FROG (Friends of the Greenbelt) will host a family-friendly community work day at Rockridge's Hardy Park on Earth Day, Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Here are the details provided by FROG:
What: Family-friendly cleanup
When: Saturday, April 20, 9am-12 noon
Where: Meet at Big Frog (Hardy Circle)
Join your neighbors for a FROG community work day. Even an hour of your time will make a difference. There will be kid-friendly jobs and families are welcome but childcare is not provided.
Activities include removing debris, trimming plants around the park, weeding, sweeping, sifting, sealing, cleaning and generally doing things needed to keep the park up to snuff for our children and community members to enjoy. Please bring work gloves and gardening tools if you have them, marked with your name.
The DMV Neighbors Association is coordinating clearing the creek bed and cleaning up along the Greenbelt between Clifton and Redondo playgrounds to get ready for the creek to flow again on Earth Day at noon. The Hardy pond will be cleaned out in preparation for the creek flow, as well.
Sign in with FROG at Hardy Park at Claremont/Hudson Ave. for the park cleanup and with the DMV Neighbors Association at Redondo/Cavour St. for the creek site. Questions? E-mail info@frogpark.org.
