Gardeners Swap Their Surplus at Lakeshore Plant Exchange

Garden lovers converged on 3811 Lakeshore Ave., Oakland, on Saturday, March 30, for the annual Lakeshore Plant Exchange — a free "swap meet" where you bring your extra plants and garden supplies, then head home with those donated by others.

The exchange was founded by Odette Polalr, who hopes the idea will spread to other communities.

Thank you to Jo Ann Driscoll, the exchange's volunteer public relations coordinator extraordinaire, for these photos of Saturday's activity.
